Learning Curve - Mastering beginning kiteboarding
Normally you will require 20 hours of practiceto be able to kite effectively. A 3 hour beginner class provides all the neccesary skills needed to move on and practice independently though you may not have achieved riding the board in your first 3 hours. You will achieve an understanding of the sport, equipment and skills needed to launch, land, self-land, self-launch, relaunch and kite on the water involving the board.
Our primary class goals are to coach the students to make good and safe decisions on the path toward becoming a knowledgeable kitesurfer, completely self-sufficent kite surfing with large kites. In the course of the class students will achieve success and make mistakes that we will learn from in order to move toward larger kites and more advanced kiting.
Lessons over a longer than 3 hour period are prefered to achieve greater success with the board and kite in a variety of conditions. A 3 day class covering 10 hours or more is most effective to achieve beginner level or to proceed beyond beginner level.
